| The elements are encased in a metal tube and the assembly must be secured with just enough force to keep it in place while unscrewing. The blue material is PVC vinyl leatherette that provides cushioning, protection and grip between the helicoid and small bench vise. Mine was fairly tight, but all that I needed to twist off the "cap" was another piece of leatherette... |
